SEO & Marketing
Why Do I Need to Optimize my Business Website?
The short answer is that you only need to optimize your website if you want a steady stream of paying clients to keep calling your office 24/7/365. If you don’t want any more paying clients, then don’t optimize.
Seriously, search engine optimization is absolutely vital to your company’s survival in the cut-throat world of Search Engine Marketing. Even in towns with populations smaller than 50,000 people, there can easily be 10-20 businesses who practice in a particular field and with the “directory” sites thrown into the mix, there can be 5-6 pages of “local” results when a prospective client searches for “name of town” + “keyword”.
If you are on Page Five of Google’s search results for that term, you might as well be the Invisible Business. The odds that anyone who is serious about hiring you in your area of specialty looked beyond Page Two of the search results is infinitesimal.
But moving your website out of the search result wastelands and onto a prime spot on Google’s Page One is just a matter of giving Google what it wants to see regarding your site, and getting a handful of key authority sites to link back to yours.
In effect, this tells Google that your site is best suited to give the searcher the information they seek, and Google will make sure that they have the best chance of finding your site amongst the billions and billions of sites out there that fail to provide Google the right “answers” (including most or all of your competitors).
On Page Optimization
Search engine optimization starts with making sure your existing website is designed and written to rank as high as possible for the key words and phrases used by people who are actively seeking to hire you (the “money” keywords).
This means you need to put together a list of words and phrases that most clients might use when looking for your type of business. For most areas of specialty, this is pretty simple.
You just need to list the town or towns you service, along with the words that describe what you offer.
Off-Page Optimization
Off-page optimization can be summarized in one word: links!
The more quality sites that link back to your site, using your key word or phrase as an “anchor” for the link, the better Google ends up liking your site and the higher you are going to rank for that key word or phrase.
But there are “good” ways to generate links, and there are “bad” ways to get links. If you respond to some ad promising a million backlinks in 24 hours for only $24.95, the odds are fairly good you are doing business with a link farm, and Google has been known to BAN sites involved with link farms.
Not suspend.
Ban.
As in Goodbye Forever from the Google Search Results.
What Google wants to see is that quality, relevant sites are linking back to yours, using your key words and phrases as “anchor” text, and that you are getting these links in a natural (or “organic”) fashion. Meaning instead of getting 10,000 links overnight, you instead get 10 links to day, 23 links tomorrow, 8 links the day after that, and so on.
Why Ebusiness Guides is Your Best Solution for Search Engine Optimization
1. Knowledge. We have the latest knowledge of how Google and the other search engines operate when deciding which sites should rank on Page One for a particular term. Since the factors each search engine uses can change at a moment’s notice, you want an SEO company that stays up-to-date on all the latest factors and changes, which means your website will keep its Page One ranking for as long as you want.
2. Patience. Unlike most of the SEO firms you’ll run across, our Ebusiness Marketing-SEO team is happy to take the slow lane when it comes to getting you ranked on Page One for your search term(s). This approach has proven time and again to be successful in achieving and maintaining a Page One ranking for virtually any local search term you can think of. By building your campaign slowly and steadily, you build a relationship of trust with the search engine which they reward with a constant and steady high ranking for each search term.
This does not mean it will take months or years to find yourself on Page One of the Google search results.
Quite the contrary is true.
Most of our clients find themselves on Page One within 30-45 days of the start of our campaign on their behalf. Since most of your competition has done a poor job at best of optimizing THEIR sites, it only takes a small amount of work to rank ahead of them, and by keeping up the campaign over time, you leave them so far behind that they have little or no hope of ever catching up to you in the rankings.
3. Teamwork. As noted above, there are around 20 on-page items Google looks at in determining your rank for a particular key word or phrase, and close to 200 items related to off-page optimization. This is far more than any one person could ever hope to master.
That’s why we have a team of specialists working on your behalf. Some specialize in link building, others specialize in on-page optimization. Together, they form an unbeatable combination that will propel your website to Number One in the search engine rankings, and your client base (and income) will increase accordingly.
